Instagram has become one of the most popular photo
 sharing platform with the user base increasing rapidly. If you are a user of
Instagram you will know the importance
of having followers for your business
accounts which can help professionally as well
and not just for fun. There has been a new
update recently for Instagram which allows
users to add and use multiple accounts in
Instagram App for Android and iOS. The
Instagram Account Switching feature has been
included from App version 7.15 for both Android
and iOS devices.
This certainly makes it quite easy for users like
me, who want to have two separate accounts –
one personal and one for my business. For
such instances we had to use third party apps
which was not that preferable. So let us see
how to add and use multiple accounts in
Instagram for Android and iOS.
STEPS TO ADD MULTIPLE ACCOUNTS IN
INSTAGRAM APPS:
Launch the Instagram App and Log in to your
account by entering the username and
password on your device
Tap on the profile icon on the right side bottom
of the display to view your profile
There are two options to add a new account to
Instagram – 1) On the right side top of the
display you can see your username, if you are
getting a down arrow icon beside it, tap on it
and you can see the option “Add Account”.
 In case you are not getting this option you need
to follow option 2

Tap on the three dot icon (Android) or Gear Icon (iOS) on the right side
top of the display, scroll down to the bottom of
the list of options available and under About
you can find the “Add Account” option, tap on it
Now you will be taken to a Log in page, enter
the username or phone number or email of the
other account which you wish to add and the
password and Log in, in case you are having a
Facebook account for the other account you
can login through Facebook as well.

HOW TO SWITCH BETWEEN AND USE
TWO ACCOUNTS IN INSTAGRAM:
Once you have successfully added the
second account, you can access the
second account by going to your profile
(Tap on the profile icon on the lower right
bottom)
Now tap on your “username” which will be
located on the top left of the display (for
android). For iOS the username will be on
the top middle of the display.
Here all the added accounts will be
displayed as a drop down window, tap on
the one you wish to use
According to Instagram at the moment from a
single Instagram app you can add and use 5
accounts at a time. This is quite useful for
businessmen or any user who wants to keep
their personal and professional accounts
different.
